What do you really want?

Many of us will spend the rest of our lives without knowing what we truly want. What we want to be, do, and/or have -especially be. Many times we think that what we really want is something that comes out of pressure. The pressure might come from family, friends, society; it can be cultural or personal. The pressure to be, do, or have something that deep inside, in your soul level, you know that does not sound right. Or perhaps, you block yourself from knowing what you really want because you might feel fearful, guilt and have old limiting beliefs that might be holding you back by saying that you do not deserve to be or have more. Our beliefs determine who we are and what we have. There are many different reasons why people want to know what they really want. Perhaps because they are tired to live a life without meaning; tired of seeing life passing by. Want financial freedom, spiritual connection, more joy, love, or to become a better parent, spouse or  friend. Change career or just become a better human being. Or perhaps, you want to answers the questions- Who am I? Why am I here for? In order to know in a deep level what you truly want, you need to travel inside of you where all questions and all answers reside- understand and accept who you are by putting down the masks and see the reality as it is. It is to explore, to dig deeper, to become aware of your inner world and  discover the hidden treasure that lives inside of you-“YOU”-

Becoming aware of what you truly want and focusing your thoughts, feelings, and actions towards what you want to achieve is the key to unlock the doors that will bring self-fulfillment- joy, peace, love- You are the only one who has the key to unlock your potential and live the life you desire and deserve.

Article-Flow vs. Resistance

Many of us live most of the time with stress, fears, grief, insecurities, and so on. Most of us believe that life is hard. We live trying to control things, people, events and circumstances. We are so afraid of disappointments, suffering and pain that we feel the need to control our lives and what is going to happen to us. This can create a lot of resistance of accepting and living life as it is.

What is resistance and what it does to us?

There are many types of resistance. Some may resist love, compassion, apologies, money, relationships, happiness, and some may even resist accepting their bodies or who they are. Resistance keeps us very narrow. When we resist something, we are not living in the flow of life. We are not living from our best self, from a place of peace, knowing and wisdom. When you resist, you go against the current instead of going with the flow.

What does it mean to live in the flow?

To live in the flow is to trust life. It is to be grateful and accept life as it is. It is to believe that you are never alone and that something bigger than you are-is directing and guiding you. Living from the flow will help you to attract the right people and things to your life. Not necessarily the things or people that perhaps you think you need, but instead the ones the universe knows are the right ones for you, so you can achieve what you are looking for and fulfill your lifes purpose. Living in the flow means that you are leaving in the present moment and making the best of it. When living from a place of acceptance, life takes a different direction, you no longer need to prove to people who you are- with material things or whatever might be. You feel that you are on the right place and doing the right thing. On the other hand, the road of resistance will take you nowhere. It will keep you stuck because you are just stopping the flow of energy, the flow of life. When you live from a place of resistance, it might affect your life deeply. It might affect even your health.

A good way of getting to know and get in touch with your resistance is not to resist to it. Bring the resistance to your awareness. Relax, let the resistance come and talk to it. Talk to your resistance and ask:

What are you here for?

What are you here to teach me?

What do I need to do in order to let you go?

Acknowledge your resistance, make peace with it, learn from it and let it go.

If something is not going as you want them to, check with your heart and soul what you have being resisted to-or what are you trying to control, and how you are doing that. Becoming aware that resistance comes in many different ways and being able to tap into it and be able to address the roots, it will set you free. And freedom will allow you to live with the flow of life. It is part of our nature the desire to be free. We can do that by becoming aware of what is really going on in our lives, detecting resistances and really knowing that when you live in the flow of life, you get in touch with your inner power/intuition and live in synchrony with the universe. You will start to attract what you need at the right time. There is a sense of joy and no need to control people or things. You do not push life instead life guides you. You leave in the present moment and the present moment which is really a present will take you where you have to go in an easy and peaceful way.

Exercise:

Go to a beautiful park or place where there are trees, especially big ones with lots of shades. Sit there for a moment and listen to nature. Listen to the way the trees bounce back and forth with the wind. Listen to birds if there is any. Or listen to the wind itself or anything else that might be making noise. Become aware of the stillness that is around. The peace and how nature lives in the flow of life. Nothing is forced. There is no resistance, yet everything is perfect and beautiful. Take a couple of deep breaths and keep observing and feeling the peace. Become still.

How would your life look like if you lived from a place of trust and stillness?

How would you feel if you lived in the flow?

How much would you be able to accomplish if your mind were free of worries, fears, disappointments, anger, grief, regrets, resentment or necessity to control life?

Life is phenomenal, and we need to become aware that many times what it is in our way is our own resistance to see and experience life as it is. You have the power to see, feel, understand, accept and let it go of your resistance(s). When you leave without resistance, you surrender to life and live in the flow.

Give it Away

How many things do you have stored in your physical and emotional life? Sometimes we get amazed when we stop and look around. We realize how much stuff we have that we either never used or used very little, but for some reason we tell ourselves that we might need them one day. The reality is-if they are there for so long without you even touching them-what makes you think that one day you might need them? Our minds are powerful and can trick us in many different ways. It can be in a very soft way that we do not even realize what is really going on. Unconsciously, you might think that you need the stuff you are not using because that makes you have a sense of security. Perhaps having all this material stuff stored just reflect how much garbage you have in your mind that translates through your emotions. The bottom line is that if you have old things filling your physical  and your emotional home, you will not be able to welcome new things and emotions that are ready to come into your life. For the new to come in, you must make space for it and invite it in.

Look inside and around you-feel what you need to give it away/let it go.

Clean your physical and emotional space, so new energy can come to you.

I always give things away. Things that are not serving me anymore, but perhaps can be a blessing to someone else. This morning, I was passing by my old treadmill and something got my attention in a different way. At that moment, I was totally present while looking at that old treadmill standing quietly in the corner. Something clicked in-why is this machine still here? You used it long ago when you needed it and liked it. It does not serve you anymore. You do not use it or like it anymore. Amazing, at that very moment I could feel a different energy flowing in. I brought to my awareness that my treadmill was deep connected to my past. I used it to lose weight. In 2005, I got pregnant and lost the baby when I was five months pregnant. My treadmill helped me to feel better. I was feeling lonely, sad and fat. The whole experience was very painful, but I was very successful to lose the weight I put it on. In 2006, I got pregnant and again I lost the baby on the fifth month. Oh boy, it was extremely painful-physically, emotionally and financially painful. There was my treadmill ready for me again. At that time, I did not use it like I did before but it was still helpful. For the past two years, I never felt like using it again, but I still kept it. I was not aware that my treadmill was connected to my memories, to my painful past. This was unconscious and I did not know that. See I’m healed with my past and emotions, but unconsciously I was still connected with my treadmill, and that’s why I did not let it go before. I had an emotional attachment to it. This morning, I could clearly see that, the space where my treadmill was-the energy there was not flowing in a peaceful way. Something old as my past is-was still here and present in my every day life and needed it to go away. I went outside and asked one of the guys who are working on my roof if he wanted a treadmill-come, get it and take it, I said- Giving my treadmill away made me feel incredibly good. In other words, even though I was not using my treadmill anymore, my unconscious mind was telling me to keep it. The movie that  was playing inside my head told me-how about if anything bad happens again? The unconscious fear of needing it again was the reason that I kept it for so long.

Stop for a moment-feel, feel-what do you need to let it go? Is it emotional or/and physical?

Peace in your heart,    Marny

Thoughts are Energy

THOUGHTS: We design our lives as we think. Whether or not we want our thoughts are all the time bringing and shaping the experiences we have. If you really want to change your life, the first step is to start changing your thinking. Our thoughts are the most powerful tool we have because with them we write our own story. The law of attraction is always working to bring to us what we are asking with our thinking, whether we are aware or not. In other words, your life right now is a reflection of your thinking, and if you really desire to have a better and more harmonic life, you must start working in your thoughts.

ENERGY: Thoughts are energy. We spent lots of energy thinking the wrong thoughts. When we start thinking good/positive thoughts, we become more energetic, peaceful, clear and centered. Our energy completely changes as we change our thoughts.

AWARENESS: When our energy changes, we start to sleep better, we get less stressed out and in more control of our lives. Thinking good thoughts and having more positive energy, we start to become aware of many things that are really going on inside and around of us. Awareness brings us close to our inner world. We become stronger. We start to see our strength in a clear way. We really start to pay more attention to our thoughts, emotions, feelings, beliefs, old patterns and behaviors. Awareness brings responsibility and desire to change.

Forgiveness: Vital to move forward. As we become aware of the things that are really going on in our heads and hearts, we need to start forgiving ourselves and others. Forgiveness opens our hearts and souls.  To forgive is to accept the past as it was, as we do that, we learn to accept the present as it is, and take action towards our fulfillment peace, joy and freedom.

Actions: Actions will take you to the next step. With awareness and an open heart, we face our fears and do whatever we have to in order to move forward.

POWER: Actions give us power, more insights and even more awareness. When we feel powerful with a deep feeling of being on the right path, in accordance with our values an heading toward our life’s purpose, we got what we need to change our behavior,  beliefs, and old patterns. It is easier now to watch our thoughts and have control over them. You feel powerful when this happen because you know that you are no longer controlled by fear or disappointments. You still have them, but they do not dictate your behaviors anymore. You do not act like a victim but instead you take a 100% responsibility for your life-What you say and do–You no longer blame others for your suffering. You have the key to your heart and soul; therefore you are the owner of your feelings, emotions, thoughts and behaviors.

Transformation

  flower-vermelha

To me transformation is freedom-Freedom  from our old self and the rebirth of our deeper self. Transformation takes place when we start to see ourselves and the world in a different way. To transform is to die to the old thinking, old patterns, old emotions and feelings that no long serve us. It is to discover that we are more than we think. It is to live from a place of self encouragement, peace and compassion for oneself and others. Transformation is the union of your soul, body and mind.

 Peace,   Marny
